Bettencourt Dairies,LLC

This is a Double 60 milking barn on Dairy #1, there are two located here, with 18 pens to hold 10,000 milking cows. Plus 3 dry pens, and 11 heifer pens.

Dairy # 1 cow alley's are approx. 1/2 miles long. Each pen has 547 cows in them. We have  full time vets, and nutritionist on hand to produce the best feed ration as far as cost per cow, and to maintain the over all health of the herds. Plus our herdsmen to over look and make sure everything is being done accordingly for the best production and comfort for the herd. We appreciate each and every employee, they are the ones who make it work.

 
We have all our heifers custom raised. Then we weed out the bad ones as they are  brought to the heifer facility called East Valley Heifers in Raft River. We have enough to keep most of the dairies supplied with the replacements.

This is one of the silage pits by the New Dry Creek Dairy. One pit usually consist of 75,000 tons. We produce around 400,000 tons a year of just silage. Then there is Haylage and Hay  produced for each dairy. We hire the best custom farmers to harvest our quaility feed for each dairy herd. We still have to buy some hay to feed, and then straw to bed them in the winter. Then we contract out the other grains we need to make our ration.
